| The Adventures Of Jerry And Me |
|
A Story For all Ages (5 - 95) By Cecelia G. Davis
The story follows a little girl named Cealie who plays hide-and-seek in the cornfields with her friend Jerry - a small white terrier. Jerry lives with Cealie on a 10-acre farm in New Jersey and occupies himself by chasing the farm animals. On cold winter nights, Jerry loves snuggling up to Cealie in her warm bed and taking trips in the car. But one day, just before the start of school, Jerry goes along with the family to the mall. Patiently, he waits in the car while they shop. When the family returns, Jerry is missing. A search turns up no trace of the little dog, and Cealie is heartbroken. Everyone tries to convince Cealie that she will never see Jerry again, but she refuses to believe it. Then one day, almost a year later, Cealie sees a small, white dog running down the street by the mall. Could it be Jerry?
The Adventures of Jerry and Me has some fresh, insightful things to say, and we believe it's well worth the readers attention. 1st Books, President Timothy E. Jacobs. |

The main theme centers around the years when the Dawson family's life becomes a living hell: to the point where they are almost consumed by the fire. Later, it is believed a curse has been put on the family by an occult leader, Olivia Baal, who attended an Exorcist meeting in the family's home church. She attempts to possess Cealie Dawson's three children, and manages to get one under her control. When Cealie confronts Olivia and gets the child back, Olivia threatens Cealie and the entire family with evil things to come. The entire family almost loses their minds and their lives.
